@andywolan Because no first baseman in the majors would ever be standing on the bag when no play was ever going to happen....otherwise I assure you it would happen all the time. That is baserunner's path and this fielder took that away from this runner. Maybe a little cheap on the runner's part, but she really didn't do anything that warranted any disciplinary action. This really was the first base girl's fault, even if she didn't deserve to get run over.

it was obviosly out of frustation i hate popping up as well

If this was legal, then why don't they do this more often in the majors?

14 steps

second

she had no need to go towards it was an infield pop up she never make it to second if the ball was dropped girl on first was not in her way also girl on first really didnt need to be ther so whos fault is it
-
Well, it could be worse - they could all be on ponies!

@se7envii7 Read again, I said nothing about me looking like an idiot. Why is she waiting on a throw you ask? IN CASE THE BALL IS DROPPED. If you know nothing of the sport why are you watching videos that are about it? Maybe you are the idiot. Oh and to answer your question no I dont coach but I've been a fan for years and have played for years. Oh and a matter of fact my best friend who know nothing of baseball just answered the question correctly, I hope your are not a fan.

Both players are at fault here. The first base lady has no business being on the bag as there is and never was going to be a play at the base. But the runner had no business rounding the bag in the manner she did either, although she could argue that she was running the play out as she has been coached to do since she was little. I don't like seeing a player get run over, but I lay most of the blame on the fielder on this one. There was no play and she could have been called for obstruction.

Bullshit 1st baseman is in the baseline runner has rite of way! Should have hit her harder!
Bitch at first base should learn not to stand in the path of the runner. Runner has the right of way on a pop up should they choose to go to 2nd base. Why is the 1st baseman acting like shes about to get a throw from 2nd. No right to be in the runners way.
