The town of Sujawal in Sindh province has become the latest major casualty of the floods.

Waters from the Indus river surged into the town on Sunday after breaching a levee.

Most of the 250,000 residents fled before the floodwaters submerged the town.

Meanwhile, Pakistani troops have been battling for several days to save the nearby historic city of Thatta, where at least 300,000 people have already evacuated.

The UN and its partners are providing assistance to millions of flood victims, but so far they've only managed to raise two thirds (pledged and delivered) of the 460 million dollars needed for the relief effort.

And as Imtiaz Tyab reports, the lack of aid on the ground is taking its toll.
