Just me, coloring some fantastic EdBenes' illustration. Done in Photoshop CS3+Graphic Tablet. I was hesitant about the set of the scene, than I choose a place where only he could go .. not the bed of Charlize Theron... but the open space! So i painted some space background with the Earth ;)

  • Do you draw Superman before painting him on the graphics tablet?

I was thinking of getting one of these

  • @NickFury182 No man. Read the description! The lines are made by Ed Benes ;)

  • do you use hard edge brush or soft edge brush?!

  • @detourr i prefer hard edge brush ;). Not less 80%!

  • Regardless of the medium this is sick. I used to denounce tablet art as " not real" nut I've recently had some fun with them. If you have some knowledge of basic tools and drawing techniques then photoshop and tablet art is pretty easy to pick up. Nt sure if I can say the same about the other way around

  • i dont know man...

looks like his arms have abs

  • @NickFury182 Oh I see

  • @logandh2 Ok man, no prob ;)

  • @TheKey1987 i acknowledge that this takes a lot of skill, but it isnt a real painting(in my opinion, i have a higher respect for brush and pencil art). i probably would have worded my first comment more nicley, but i had been kind of pissed off that day, and i took it out you. so sorry, and by the way the end result here was very good, i was kindof impressed by it.

  • @logandh2 This is digital coloring and is what comic industries use now. Maybe this is not real ART because i'm just a beginner, (meaning a knowledge of brushes, canvas, etc, etc) but there are really good digital artist that have a real knowledge of colors, light, shadows, anatomy. And you have to respect them because they have studies as hard as a "real" artist.

You can dislike this kind of art, but hey you have to give respect.
