I see. Well that's an idea. The 3.0 is a racing motor concept, so you're right about that. I don't think I'll be doing it with mine. I've got 202.000 miles on the dash ;)

@lufthansaprofipilot mmmm actually if you have good synthetic minimum 15w-50 with good amounts of zddp in it, preferably mobil 1 or royal purple, this is perfectly fine for the motor... it has a rev limiter on it from the factory you know.... with a chip it raises the red line to either 6800 or 7000 then you could be doing some damage. these engines were ment to take a beating, with forged pistons etc, like all porsches, as long as your belts, rollers, water pump and everything is in tact.

that's not good for the motor. you're way in the red..
my S2 cabriolet never goes over the red. check your elec. shutoff if you want your car to last another few years.
