Vincent McCoy Director - Inland Empire SBDC at the IEEP Quality of Life Summit

Southern California CEO magazine, talks with Vincent McCoy Director - Inland Empire SBDC at the Inland Empire "Quality of Life Summit" on the campus of California State University, San Bernardino. This event was presented by the Inland Empire Economic Partnership. Their goal was to provide stakeholders in our region with a forum to discuss the many issues, unique resources, opportunities and successes occurring here within the Inland Empire.
Without a strong educational backbone, this region's quality of life will suffer. As the changing economy has required us to rethink our core businesses, our educational system is even more important to educate and train our most valuable resource, our people.
This region needs a strong, vibrant small business and entrepreneurial environment that recognizes and supports the efforts of those who risk it all to create jobs, wealth and sustainable enterprises. As a region the Inland Empire needs to meet the challenges of building strong sustainable communities by driving advancements in green technologies and state of the art infra-structure improvements.
Stakeholders at this event are trying to address how we as a region can capitalize on our strengths and opportunities to benefit every individual that chooses to live, work or play here. It served as an opportunity for professionals to teach each other about their respective industries, so we may learn from each other, form partnerships, and create relationships that continue to propel this region into a new era of prosperity.
