  • Menlo has a lot of kids on scholarships and there is a good deal of diversity there as well. My public highschool, New Trier, in Winnetka, Illinois has a student body made up of kids from affluent backgrounds and is much more in your face than both Menlo and M-A. Plus the only diversity is the 2 kids the schools brings in from Africa.

  • are you serious? Which one do you pull into the parking lot and most of the cars cost $50,000+? The "rich atmosphere" of Menlo is because you lack any serious diversity. M-A does have wealthy students, but it certainly isn't the norm to flaunt it in the same way it is at Menlo.

  • I like Sue Young's characterization of Menlo having a "rich atmosphere". LOL what does she think M-A has? M-A has more kids from less fotunate backgrounds from East Palo Alto, but it still has all the kids from weathier backgrounds from Atherton and Menlo Park. Menlo School is probably more intermixed.
