Yeah no one mention at all about a robot guy or a shapeshifting reindeer.
Anime is not supposed to make sense and tbh one piece does a good job at even trying to explain why/how things work. Prob my fav anime.

@MsAssboy actually you're close but not quite right. The reason for the smoke is the outrageous hyper increase in his metabolism... all the nutrients in his body is being burned at an extremely rapid rate increasing his body temperature making it possible to ooze smoke instead of liquid/sweat. On the part where his skin turns RED is where you are right, because of his high metabolism ... more oxygen is being distributed throughout his body causing the red blood cells to appear clearer.
