@gor1l1a Most people when playing games play with a closed chassis. So that's why he did it like that, because if you leave the case open there will be more noise.

This all depends on how it is measured. Sound tests sould only be used to compare the cards noise levels, rather than giving absolute measurements. The reviews that recorded high noise levels did so across all cards, with the 480 coming out ahead of the 5970 and 5870, which is accurate.
