Catching a Bull Shark on a Shark Reserach Expedition

Hand's on Shark Research Expedition allows participants to get involved while lending a hand to science. Koncept Events owner, Hillary Smith accompanied by husband, Dr. Edward Smith, assist with taking a cell biopsy, drawing blood, measuring and tagging a Bull Shark in South Florida waters. This activity is something that cannot be done just anywhere - renowned shark expert Neil Hammerschlag, Ph.D. has pioneered the South Florida Student Shark program through the University of Miami's Rosenthiel School to give high school teens and young scientists the opportunity to get real world experience. This also greatly benefits science because the research hours and manpower given by the participants is vital to science.
