Interview with Dave Hill blended with archive footage of Slade. The most interesting part is probably the B/W footage of Get Down and Get With It from the Beat Club session.

From The Seventies, a documentary series about the music of the 70 broadcasted on Swedish Television

  • @krimdilakrim Slade did a few times, actually there's a video of them playing in 1975 on here if you search it- slade winterland

  • Its really to bad Slade never toured America :(

  • Noddy had a Great voice back then .... still does, saw him play birmingham a few months back

  • @lannykaster1 Hi! After travelling so far it's a pity Dave didn't sign the album for you! I think he really must have been in a hurry....was it before or after the gig?

  • Well said Dave. Good on ya.

    Great work Sladev as usual.

  • @time4sleeping ...I doubt his Dad is still with us..I got on really well with him. He'd led a really interesting life and had lots of stories to tell....I spent many weekends there for a few years.......I don't know why Dave didn't sign his name for the other guy, its not like him at all, he was never any different, just as you see him in his interviews, full of life and fun.....

  • @perth45 do you think his Dad is still alive? They used to say he was 70 back in the 70s when Slade were big in Australia.

  • @lannykaster1 sorry that happened to you. He was very kind to me without meeting me and signed a t-shirt and an anthology set & they were posted to me. Friends know him & seem to like him, wonder why he didn't have time to quickly sign his name?

  • @lannykaster1 ....I'd been a fan of Slade since 1972, I was 12....I was OBSESSED with Slade past high school...I became friends with Dave's dad in 1977 and regularly stayed with him in Wolverhampton many times until I emigrated to Australia in 1986 when sadly we lost touch....I met Dave many times, went backstage at many gigs...I found Dave so warm and friendly, always had time to talk, sign things...a really nice unaffected guy.....

  • what a great band
