Originally based in the University of the Philippines at Los Banos, DATUS TRIBE first burst into the early 90s Manila music scene through the support of (now defunct) radio station LA Rock 105.9 FM. The timing couldnt have been more opportune as The Eraserheads, Yano, and The Youth had just begun to pave the way for the massive commercial acceptance of local alternative rock acts in the country.
