Yes, the weapons DO have to work to be of mass destruction. This was obviously a last ditch effort by the Pubs because they could tell they would get their asses handed to them last november in the elections.
I wonder if any of these clowns would enlist and go to Iraq over WMD that were too old to work. Or would they send their kids for the same cause?

The WMDs were from the Iran-Iraq war in the 80s, they were never meant for us and even if they were they're useless now.
