  • elliptical is good for cardio but trashes your running form.

  • Bull. Anything that gets your heartrate up is best for cardio. Period.

Elliptical doesn't allow your body to run with it's natural form. If you are running with proper form impact won't be an issue.

  • Which is better for losing weight? Treadmill or elliptical?

  • Uh, uh and uh oh uh omg

  • I can not stand using the Treadmill because I already have bad knees, so if I do 45 minutes on the Treadmill, my knees are killing me by the time I go upstairs at the gym. I love the Ellptical because the range of motion and low impact on my knees.

  • I've been doing the elliptical for over a year now. I see myself having thighs like christano ronaldo soon.

  • @JredLapeair not true. My workout regiment incorporates pavement running o alternated with treadmill on other days. If anything the elliptical improves stamina and has no impact whatsoever on running form. my observations atleast

  • @Digitalbumpin most of what you said was true, but running IS bad for your knees, especially when you get older. thats why they made the elliptical to remove the impact on your knees kiddo...

  • I have a question. I am 17 years old and im starting to work out to gain muscle like you. I am 5'11 and weigh around 150lbs so I am average, not fat, but not skinny. I know that a big part of gaining muscle is cardio workout, therefore I want to buy an excercise machine. I can't decide between a tradmill or an elliptical machine, because they both each have advantages. I dont wanna loose weight, just do cardio to help gain muscle. Thanks

That's just natural for some people, I know I do it... you probably do too!
