Good quote. I think Maverick runs for Wisconsin now. Interesting to hear Dathan Ritzenhein's year 2000 time (14:11) on the course.

Sure was. I almost went to this meet as a sophmore, but I came 3 places short. And I was in the hardest region in MI too. Chelsea and Dexter were there. Do you know if the High school 5K time has broke 14 mins?

According to wikipedia Galen Rupp set junior national and American high school records while competing for Portland, Oregon's Central Catholic High School. In 2004, he broke Gerry Lindgrens 40-year old U.S. high school record for 5,000 meters by almost seven seconds, running 13:37.91 for the distance.
