Lands End Light Beaufort, S.C.

We took this video of the light in Beaufort. We got to the spot and rolled the windows down. When the light appeared, the windows would't roll up and music was heard coming from the woods. As soon as the light dissappears, the music stops and we can roll up our windows. You can hear a very faint piece of the music at about 1:30 in the video. It's very light and sounds like someone rubbing the rim of water filled wine glasses. You also hear us talking about the light, windows, and music in the video. Maybe some swearing....

What gets me is the car quit working were it had worked moments before and after.

It shows up at different times. I had talked to a woman that had been chased by it in her car during the daytime. Everytime I've been to see I've gone at night. I've seen it dozens of times now at night.

Really? I've been there twice and seen it both times. A friend of mine lives in Greenwood and has went back dozens of times and never missed it.

Would love to get together with some folks to head out to Lands End to look for this light. I saw it once manyh years ago with 3 others and it really scared the hell out of us. This light crossed the road really fast from lane to lane right in front of our car while our bright head lights were on!!!! I have not seen it since.

Ive seen it!! I was born in Beaufort and I lived in Beaufort up till Aug of 2010 . My mother has seen this light and I know a lot of people that have seen this light. Its not fake. My mother even did a project about it when she was in school. This is not fake people if you don't believe it get down there a few times till you get to see it your self. I did not get to see it on my first time so it may take a few times trying at different times at night.

I've done this before... that night I was with about 12 friends watching it. it was more active, rising into the tree tops, then going down into the ground. I was recording it like this guy, but then it got close and everyone panicked. I froze to the spot as it came up; don't remember much else except everything stretching out like a weird camera lens effect, but I lost my camera that night.

I am planning on trying to see the light but live (way) out of state so I'll only have a 3-4 hour window. Any suggestions on what time would be best to see the light? Time of year, time of night (before or after midnight, predawn hours etc) Any input in appreciated.
