An Afternoon of Local Treasures kicks off at 3 p.m. on December 10 with Great Homes of Rochester. Produced by WXXI in 2002, the documentary takes viewers on an unprecedented private tour of some of Rochester's most beautiful establishments. Immediately following, WXXI gives viewers a sneak peek at Frank Lloyd Wright's Boynton House: The Next Hundred Years. Concluding the night is Restoring a Masterpiece: The Renovation of the Eastman Theatre, which showcases the intricate renovation of the theatre and tells the story of the intertwined histories of the Eastman School of Music and the RPO. Produced by WXXI and Eastman School of Music, the film is narrated by Rochester native, actor and director Philip Seymour Hoffman. Production funding for the film was provided by The Pike Company, PAETEC, Louise Epstein, and Keith & Betsy Wilson.
