This is an update to my previous vBlog about my Plantdrive system installed on my Jetta TDI. It runs on waste vegetable oil. This update increase the heat of the oil closer to the point of injection into the engine

  • i love your car bud!

  • Thanks for taking the time to make the vid

I converted my 2ooo TDI 2 a vJet 3 yrs ago starting out w/the Grease car system

Started mods first installing the kit by adding 4 temp sensors-than added a vegi therm-16-FPHE-insulated my spare tire tank n added a hot water bypass 4 summer use 2 keep the VO tank from climbing over 150F

I now easy keep a 170f VO temp after only 3-4 miles after start up.

I also keep 4 layers of blankets over entire engine to retain heat when engine is off 4 an hr

  • Nevermind I thought it was an exchanger between the oil and the air. It is between the oil and the coolant.

  • What's the goal of the plate exchanger ? Isn't it gonna cool the oil ?

  • History shows you are wrong and an idiot

  • Hi, great videos, and thanks for all of the info. I am in the process of converting my 2000 TDI and keep having an issue with the injector return lines, it seems like the return system when running on WVO is building up pressure and the lines keep popping off, I can't figure this out, have you ever heard of this or had it happen to you?

Thanks again for all of your help

    Chad

  • I am running 2 tanks. Unless it is a early 90's or earlier Mercedes or an Elsbit conversion you will need 2 tanks. As for diesels in CARB states - VW said first quater '08. I haven't changed my oil filter yet

  • single chip sony dv. recently switched to a flash based panasonic

  • it's still cold oil in southern CAlifornia
