This bag reminds me of why I (also) dislike the LowePro slingshot range: I don't know how anyone can tolerate having a bag so far up their chest. If only all this was possible in a bag that simply slung over my shoulder and sat near my waist. I cannot imagine how uncomfortable this bag would be for females.

Does the bag *have* to be in 'x mode' when used as a backpack? Can it not go over without the straps crossing eachother over the chest? Kind of like an 'H' ??
