Wow, you cut that oval shape out perfectly!! I could never do that....lol That is a really cute card!! Nice design!! Too bad Sizzix doesn't make embossed frames like that so you don't have to cut the die. I bought a Big Shot not too long ago and have discovered just how much more this machine could do if only Sizzix made the dies to do it. They are coming out with a new line of dies next month called Scoreboards---those look really neat!!

Love this idea! I'm curious if anyone has tried to die cut out the center of the embossing folder with a shape, rather than hand cut around a die cut template? I'm not really wanting to wreck mine to try...lol...

Hmm, interesting idea. Although embossing folders usually don't cost much if you wanted to buy 2 of the same one to do this... I'm wondering if you could just cut out two cardboard/CS ovals and jsut place them in the identical spot on both sides of the CS...?

Yes you sure can do this :) But I found it easier just to cut mine .. The template with folder works also

can you just dotto the oval on to the embossing folder and put your card stock in the folder run it threw and you have the oval?

You wouldnt want to use the oval middle section cause then just the oval would get embossed But if you use the outer section of the card board this would work and omitt the oval part for embossing . Hope this makes sense .

Yes you can do it the way listed in above comments but I find that cutting my folder was easier for me thats all. I was just showing you what I did. :)
