BSA Rocket Launching

This is a video of my Boy Scout Troop launching Estes rockets. The clips are as follows:

-My dad launching his old Bull Pup rocket with a low-power engine. Not too exciting.

-Kyle launching his rocket (which he glued together with hot glue, smart man). It held up surprisingly well through multiple launches, even when we lost it. The video doesn't show it coming down well, because it's so small.

-My dad launching the Bull Pup again, with a larger engine. Sorry about the annoying camera wagglan while trying to find it, it's white and very difficult to see against clouds.

-Some mini-scout launching some rocket.

-James's rocket failing, then Matthew launching his. Matthew's rocket had a cool tip that propellers flipped out of.

-James (sort of) successfully launching his rocket. It's supposed to blow apart into two foam gliders which spiral down, which worked once. After that it began to nosedive repeatedly and started breaking apart. During this launch he gave up and decided to put a second engine in it. That is why it blows up again and spurts around after landing.

-My dad attempting to get his glider rocket to work. The idea of this is that the back part blows off in flight, releasing the pin on a fin on the body of it which is intended to act as a wing, gently bringing it to earth. As you can see, it doesn't quite work that way.

It's been a while, but I think that was the lowest-power rocket you can put in the Bullpup. It's gone much higher than the first shot in this video.

what engine did you use for the bullpup rocket? Im thinking of getting one but it looked like it didnt even go that high. Was there any problem with it or is that how high it goes?
