Lenticular clouds are a completely natural phenomenon, and can be fairly common in mountainous areas. The cloud is actually forming at the front edge and evaporating at rear edge as it sits at the peak of a standing wave of air. The airwave is much like a ripple caused by a stone in a river, as air flow much like water. The air at the peak is colder than lower down and so it temporarily condenses there. The shape of the cloud belies the shape of the airwave peak. :-)

going against wind. Everything looks very realistic, but if you're talented with some programs, like Adobe AE and stuff, you can make something like that. Sometimes i hate then such high video editing technologies exist, because every time i see something interesting on videos like this i think - but it's possible to fake it with powerful programs.... (and so on. :) )

As technology continues to improve, it will get more difficult to distinguish between real and animation/CGI but I have yet to see a computer-generated scene that can rival this one... There are just too many details in this vid to simulate without looking "synthetic"... It's kind of hard to describe that synthetic look and feel, but I can almost always spot them, since I have fimled so many and am so familiar with what the real thing looks like :-) Thanks for stopping by!
