Cool little loco. Thumbs up! :)
-
Hornby, eat your heart out!
-
that's cute
-
@SierraRailway also bigger loco's in 5"+ have a plug in them so if you run out of water it puts the fire out! well they do in the UK :P

usually, it would be extremely dangerous for a steam locomotive to run out of water, because the boiler would get too hot and melt, like when your car overheats. but, a little engine like that wouldn't be hot enough for that. it sure does run out of steam fast, needs a couple extra tank cars behind it.

how much would one be?

They are from Germany, but you can buy them here in the US as well. Just do a google search for "hielscher live steam".
The HO trains cost about $300-400.

Is it metal to metal contact with the track?
HavazikFerric 3 years ago
Yes, they are metal wheels.

Do they have rubber around them? Just wondering 'cuase it would get rid of the wheel slip, or you could add a real sander =3
HavazikFerric 3 years ago
It would have to be a sander, because it can get pretty hot, even where the wheels are.
You could get instant smell of burnt rubber though... :-)
