  • Comparing Solaris to Windows is like ... comparing IBM to... Dell. Dunno how else... just.. no.

    bsd is unix cose it is built on the original bsd witsh was unix.

    gnu/linux is unix like, and is not all that unix..

    but all of these are posix compatible

  • Sun Solaris is good.

    Windows is good.

    Mac is good.

    There all the same.

  • No, it's actually built on Windows sources. It's kernel is Hurd and it uses XFCE for DM
