    the riffs are kinda similar and definitely not the same stupid to say a copy in either ways. this song is just alot better

    I believe Metallica's Enter Sandman riff was heavily affected by this song's start riff. These things make me almost assured that it is so: Lars Ulrich was a big fan of Stone, so they knew about it. Enter Sandman was released 1991, while This was already out in 1988.

    The riffs are in a same key, the phrasing is same. I'm not saying Enter Sandman is totally copied, it's quite a different song, but the main riff is noticably too similar to this one.
