Starting by working with a trainer will be a great start so that you can do the exercises correctly and keep from potentially getting any injuries. Congrats on starting to workout! :)

Hey Chrissy. One question.
When in starting position your arms should basically be extended straight down towards the floor, right?
This is challenging for me because my arms are quite long for my height (7'+ wing span on a 6'6" leggy body). What's the best adjustment? Reduce knee bend? Or allow the bar to contact thighs without full arm extension?

You can stand up on a platform or have less bend in your knees. Either would work
