I watched the three part video of the geothermal installation you posted Jul 2008. That system included a hot water tank.
1. What was the problem with that hot water tank?
2. Why did it have to be replaced?
3. Is the solarthermal hot water tank more efficient than the geothermal hot water tank?
4. What are the price differences?
5. Can you post a video answering these questions and explaining so those of us considering installing a system can benefit from the answers?

@M2Lfilms No problem with tank, I used the same one. It didn't have to be replaced, I just upgraded to Solar Thermal. Solar thermal is far more effective as a DHW energy source. The solar thermal would be about 7k to 10k, before incentives. Watch my sunmaxx solar installation or visit my website.

How's your hot water system working out? How are the results in the winter time?

@Gazerbeam72 Extremely well. If I had to guess, I would say I am doing around 65% of my hot water needs at the moment.. This is due to very short days, tree shading and recent cloud cover. Most of the time I seem to be proving somewhere around 90 to 100% of my hot water needs. If I had to give a yearly average, I think its somewhere in the 90% sun provided hot water area.
