  • sooooo sexy...

  • awesome music!

  • seems like you have all the wisdom about the African American race already... What could I possibly teach you??

  • jaleelshaw: Please continue to share your wisdom and bring me into the light of Truth. Also please continue to utilise aposiopesis as a rhetorical device.

  • anytime...

  • "Intelligence and elegance existed in the African American community before Barack entered office my friend"

    - Thanks for the newsflash, Sherlock.

  • Intelligence and elegance existed in the African American community before Barack entered office my friend. Of course you didn't hear it on the news or TV. But it was there... Orooonie...

  • I have patterned my whole career after the unmatched standard raised (with much pain and isolation) of Mr. Cole...i have my own story about my journey in the music industry; how his sacrifice made it easier...and even how some things see, to have the same measure of difficulty! And like you and others have alluded to, a fair portion of blame belongs to those whose skin looks like mine!

  • Well, BasePlug, I determine how seriously a white person in the "West" and in America, in particular, by how willing they are to ask themselves and also ask black Americans the "Hard Questions" about true and genuine facts about race, racism and racial deference. The wooses are those who don't.

  • Now, to the black and white thing. I know there are white people who have enjoyed Nat's music but wouldn't want him near them. It's also true there are whites who adored Nat and opened their arms in love and welcome to him. You can't judge all people on the actions of a few. The statement that young blacks don't listen to Nat, Duke, Pops, Lady Day and others is a sad fact. At least, sad to me.
