@NinjjaDuck You do realize that the natives are being treated cruelly considering that there land was taken away from their ancestors by us. Reserves are like that because governments decide how much money is distributed to the reserves and what it is to be spent on. The point is that if this war never happened they would still have their lands and not be pushed away by a government. Most natives do not waste money on drugs and alcohol, they spend all their money on their communities and family.

Every native in this country gets money handed to them by the government. They get their own rights, there own property, so why is it that they waste there money on booze and drugs? Why do they trash their houses? The reserves in Alberta are like garbage dumps. And they complain about how the government doesnt treat them right? They get like 80 grand when they turn 18! Correct me if im wrong. The "war" happened 150 years ago, so why are they mad over something that had no effect on them?

this is a load of bull shit. he may be part native but he never stepped into his reserve let alone know how it is to grow up in one. and if the indian act was taken away we as natives would lose our rights, we would be immigrants on OUR OWN LAND! we would lose what our forefathers had struggled through to make sure we have. if the indian act were to be taken away our traditional ways of life would NOT BE RESTORED too much has changed because of assimilation to ever be the same. hes just a puppet
