Wow, it's back in '85 and I'm honing my high-speed driving skills on this game at sunny Southsea again - five credits for a pound, so I'll be busy for a while, as I make a completion on routes A to E, at around 5m10s each. Damn those Bugs that always pulled-out in front of me, when I had the Testa-Rossa flat-out at over 180!

@jimfath haha... yess! It was Randall Park Mall for me tho. Go Ohio!

This specific version is from the Saturn port of OutRun (aka Sega Ages: OutRun) and is specifically called "Last wave with..."
Obviously the "with..." would be followed by 'waves,' which were edited into Last Wave by Shigeharu Isoda.

@jimfath I almost shed in tears after your comment. You could change Richmond Mall for any other mall, the machines were there, we had crushes on girls and thought that we could impress them by beating the game - things the movies also told us would be true... I miss this so much. Now I just feel life is slipping away... =,[

It's pathetic but this makes me sort of sad as I reminisce about that game. Sat under the escalator at Richmond Mall in Richmond Heights Ohio next to Narc and TMNT. I had a crush on the girl that worked at Baskin Robbins across the way. In my childhood head I thought that, if I beat the game, she'd be impressed somehow.
