Actually they did the Goth Punk thing from the start anyone seen the making of He Who LAughs Last!!! He goes through a whole thing about mixing goth in with punk!!!! When it comes to a sound change it was the band!!!! When the lineup shifted is when the sound of the music shifted!!!!

@k1noify They were "dressing in black and using eyeliner" since Black Sails in '99. And on their last album they wore no makeup and mainly gold. And their only two albums that are "generic" are their first two, even though I love em. No one else sounds like 2000's AFI. Know what you're talking about before speaking.
