In this video, Tyree Brown is remembered by Fred Thomas, YMR's Media Arts Coordinator at the RYSE Center in Richmond, CA.
Tyree Brown was an amazing and talented young man whose fierce determination and charming smile could be felt the moment he entered any room. At only sixteen years old, Tyree made a tremendous impact on the larger Richmond community and his presence is already deeply missed. A junior at Kennedy High School, Tyree exceled in school and was well loved by his peers. When he wasn't at Kennedy High School, he could be found doing what he loved the most, making music. Tyree was a regular at the RYSE Center and spent many hours working in the media arts studio. To honor his memory, we have selected Tyree Brown as YMR's Member of the Month. We hope that his story will inspire others to enjoy life and create great art!
