Message on answering machine

my mother passed away February 6th and buried Friday February 13th. of all days well the weird thing happened the next day. My dad was home alone and the answering machine came on for no reason, the phone never rang, and as he got closer to it, he thought he heard voices but could not make anything out.( it was all loud static type noise) He called my sister and we brought the tape home and put it on the computer, I have Audacity on it and it allow es me to enhance audio. My sister about fell off her chair and then had me listen to it, and it is all strange noises then at the end you can hear what sounds like my moms voice call out my dads name (Marvin). It freaked us out, but only a few people claim they can hear it, our hubby's both do not hear it and think we are just trying to hear something that is not there, but there clearly are voices on it, male and female. very weird. If anyone has any insight as to what they may or may not hear, let me know. I would appreciate any feedback.
