To make up for my lack of new content this week... I decided to start a mini-series out of how crops grow in Minecraft.

We cover the most optimal way to farm wheat and explain the concepts as to why it works.

Your video makes it sound like the n/s e/w diagonal check is north AND south or East AND West, and when you show the diagonal you show two blocks across from each other. My understanding is that these are all OR statements in that even if you only have one crop to the north it will still check for crops to the east OR west and each of the diagonals. If any of those spaces have crops it will make the divide. This wasn't quite clear from your description.

@whttigress My apologies, any recommendations (it'd have to be an annotation at this point) on how I can clear that up? Because you're absolutely right, it's IF( North OR South == True) AND ((East OR West == True) OR (ANY Diagonal == TRUE)), then growth_rate/2.

I did it like you, except the glowstone on the side i had to put ON farmland due to the lack of place, but still - some farmland is dry - did it change?
