Its like their music is a little cross-section of our culture's messed-up notions of gender roles. You can be proud of being the "Wanderer", but being "run around Sue" is something to be ashamed of. Pffft. I get MINE, ya hear!

I met Sue [her real name] in 1961. Married her in 1962. Divorced her in 1963. Should have taken Dion's advice. I had a 1957 Ford in late 1963 I named Run-Around Sue. That let me down too.
