E irripetibile.....amarcord. Grazie del tuo post.

  • gerulaitis was so awful ! he fucked more women than all other players together !!

ahh, money, with money you can fuck everywoman you want !!

  • The island Borg and practise partners trained was on is called Kattilo, off the south/east coast of Sweden.

  • As a player and sportsman Wilander is someone I admire. Does anyone know where he is living now? I heard he and his wife Sonya listed their home near Sun Valley Idaho.

  • Don't forget:

Gerulatis once was No 5 in the world himself. And in spite of knowing how to party in NYCs Studio 54, he also trained very hard. Because he had the best training partner possible: Bjorn Borg.

The two were close friends, and it is reported they rallied for hours without making one mistake while practicing. They "locked" themselves up on a swedish island, and all Borg's Trainer Bergelin had to do was getting them water and tennis balls.

    He died too soon.

  • @alaindelon65 Actually it was just a habit that he formed, similar to not stepping on the base line while awaiting service. He was a nervous kind of player and although he was known to enjoy partying, he also trained extremely hard!

  • Un des meilleurs joueurs de volée, surtout du fait qu'il avait un service faible.

    Une très grande vitesse d'exécution.

  • @dura1mater basically he enjoyed shagging around a lot, living the pop star lifestyle. I'm betting he didn't have the dedication to be a great player. He got by on talent and that was good enough to take him to no.4 in the world and 2 Australian titles (much less tough than the other 3 slams in those days). Less flamboyant players such as Llendl and Wilander achieved 10 times more with dedication. In this vid it's so obvious to see how fit Wilander looks compared to Gerulaitus.
