338 EDGE outperforms the 338 RUM. Its based off the 300 RUM case, necked up to accept .338" bullets. The 300 RUM case holds roughly 4-5 grains more powder then the 338 RUM. 300g SMK's at 2850fps is the ticket. I have one built off an LSS 300 RUM, its now a 338 EDGE shooting the 300g SMK at 2840fps. Its got a HART #6, 28" fluted, w/DE brake, ACI indicator, scope-level, Leupold VX3, LR 6.5-20x50 30mm tube. 1000 yard hits are pretty easy when you have the range and practice and equipment
3:17 you can see the bullet vaporize raindrops.
