rFactor Street Stock Dirt Figure 8 race

I was going to make a video of our 50-lap Figure 8 race regardless of what happened. It just so happened that I won. (But Nate Moore got total points from the two events -- this standard race was preceded by a full-contact 25-lapper, with points awarded to both to determine the event champion.)

This has the first few laps on board with me, then the second half of the race following the lead-swapping between Nate in the white & orange #1 car, and myself in the blue & red #(88) car.

@21dobbie The game engine is available at rfactor - net. Cars and tracks are at rfactorcentral - com. These cars are "Street Stock Shootout" but there's a much better version that I made recently than these, so look for V3. I can send you links to them. You need to be reasonably proficient with understanding directory structures in order to install things into the game engine.

how do u make tracks i have the game

@25sportskid The good track builders use 3DSMax. A lot of people get started using Bob's Track Builder. Either way, you'll need to do a lot of study on how materials are set up, how to set up the physics of surfaces (grip, abrasion, bumpiness, how much dust or smoke is produced, etc.), how to create cameras, etc.

It's rFactor, though the track is a dirt version that I made for our league (now disbanded). There's an updated version of the cars that I made for the league too. But since the league disbanded, I haven't had the motivation to put the finishing touches on it and release it to the public.

@25sportskid a good way to get your foot in the door is pick a track you like that needs some work, and just start fooling around with it(but get the original maker's permission if you decide to release it)
