  • Don't really know...only rumors...some believe she was but I don't really think so...she just like to use her "feminine wiles" and she used them on him!

  • @rafflip1313...don't know the name of the piece of music or the composer...sounds a bit like something Raul di Blasio would do...you might start with him...

  • you have to remember how long ago this was and how far skating has evolved. Sonia was so instrumental in the development of today's skating..from the length of women's skirts, the white skating boots and although what seems "ancient" to us now, the style of skating in particular! She was gorgeous as I am a testament to as I was lucky enough to get her autograph at a skating show shortly before she passed away. An incredible talent for sure!

  • Oh, you are so lucky! When was that?

  • March 10, 1969 at the LA Forum, The World Champions Figure Skating Exhibition.

  • Thanks .... by the way so many watched this video... how can you explain it? cause sonja passed away more than 40 years ago

  • one more question : was Sonja in close ( even intimate) relation with Hitler?

  • unbelievable skater...very nostalgic....she died many years ago but is still in many hearts especially in norway.

can anyone tell me whats the name of this heartbreaking music( which is heard during the video) and who compose it

  • I loved the figures ... gosh I miss those thanks for posting this very nice

  • You have to remember that the equipment is much improved today. The skates are sharper and lighter than back then. The skaters, both men and women, train more for the physical stamina necessary for the tricks of today. She is a wonder since she invented some of the moves that are the backbone of the programs of today.

  • where did you find that last clip. The balancing stop.

  • its hard for me to believe that norway was i ice skating nation before now we cant even be in European championchips.i also do figure skting

  • If she was born in this period she would have smoked them all. She was skating like this in the 1930s

Can you understand what this means?
