Hahaha, you say that as if ALL of Hollywood didn't pump Shame up to be the most taboo film since Last Tango in Paris...the film had a ton of controversy around it, so on that note it's perfectly legitimate to be critical of it's level of sexual content. Plenty say Fassbender didn't get nominated because Hollywood didn't want to go near that project.

If didn't want a tame movie go watch a porn. It's not really all about sex addiction but how Brandon deals with it when his sister stays with him. It's tame and controlled before then becomes unbalanced after. The threesome scene was cringe worthy, depressing, uncomfortable, and disturbing. Which supposed to be like. There were many things that lead up to that self destruction night. See it again I never seen the movie before but bought it on Blu Ray. Glad I did.
