Suluk46 presents, "On The Trail", a series of informative videos related to ultralight backpacking products, techniques, trips, and tutorials. Episode #6, hosted by Steve Evans, with a guest appearance from Jason Deluca, details a 2 day trip across the frozen lakes of Killarney Provincial Park and up to the top of Silver Peak. Originally, the trip was planned to be 3 days and 2 nights, but minimal snow levels and great weather made covering ground fast and easy. In the end, 2 days and one night was all that was needed to complete this route.

  • nice trip. did you guys take or consider microspikes for the ice?

  • @ESX888 No microspikes for me. I use the Suluk 46 titanium crampons. My gearlist can be downloaded from my website under the "adventure" section.

  • Although your friend was a little camera shy, it was a good hike vid...when's the next trip?

  • @SurvivalRox Hopefully get out in the next few weeks. I've been a bit busy os of lately but looks like things may clear up soon. Now, if only the snow would hurry up and get here!!!

  • This was a awesome video look forward to viewing more of them

  • What a great video, and such a wonderful place to go. I just got back from a solo trip there last week during a brutal winter storm. I had to hold on to the big rock at the top so as not to get blown away, and so envy the great weather window the 4 of you were able to enjoy. Bell Lake was another good way to go, but you have to watch for open water near its N.W. corner. I will visit your site to check out what equipment you used. Again, thank you for the video.

  • @Suluk46 Yes, I've seen your website before. I love those R2 Ti Snow Stakes you make. Never noticed the crampons. Good stuff.

  • @werb1961 Thanks!

  • great video!
