@SamwiseGUITAR WOW! Thank you very much for all of your advice. i really appreciate your help.

@SamwiseGUITAR I use paper tape made for artists, but masking tape will work fine, you might even put two pieces on top of eachother if the tape is thin.

@SamwiseGUITAR Yes you can cover the slugs with anything really thats not metal and is a little soft, electricians tape would work though it leaves alot of adhesive goop. No, your soldering iron is too weak and will burn the pickup before you can open the cover. Go to Fred Meyer and in their hardware buy their cheap 40 watt big iron, it is real hot and works and only about ten bucks.

@SDPickups is paper tape the same as masking tape? Thanks so much!

@SDPickups Is it okay to use 3M friction tape to cover the slugs? Also, is my Weller 25 watt 750F iron good for this job or should I get a higher wattage? Thank you very much for this video, as well as your advice. It is much appreciated.

@SDPickups Awesome! Thank you so much for your reply. :)

@SamwiseGUITAR If you use my clamping system it won't feed back unless you're using a 100 watt Marshall stack and standing in front of it. I put paper tape over the slugs before I clamp the cover on and that helps too. If you don't plan on ever taking the cover off again you can put a drop or two of silicone caulk on the slug coil. Melted wax is pretty easy, just put some shavings in the cover and heat til it melts with a hair dryer then quickly put the cover on before the wax solidifies.

Thanks for the video! Do I need to pot the cover with paraffin or electrical tape so that it will not cause feedback? Thanks so much!
All The best,
Sam

@ZiGGY636 Yes. If you just solder the cover on it will squeal at loud volume. Copy and paste this search term in youtube search "imojo - humbucker cover web " That is a video of my friend David Shepherd who used to work at Mojotone, he does a good demo on how to put wax in the cover before soldering the cover closed, its very easy and effecive.
