@urdynamix1 As an instrumentalist myself, I acknowledge that no song, chord progression, riff or melody is completely original. Everything from as basic as 2 notes put together is based on someone elses work. The work of prevoius generations that created instruments, scales, genres etc. Everything we do as humans is based or SAMPLED of something else.

@urdynamix1 It seems that your understanding of sampling is quite 1 dimensional & like every other so called REAL musician that plays an instrument your argument is very ego based. To understand sampling you need to know that originally in hip-hop it was done by necessity. Due to government fiscal mismanagement in the 70's music programs were cut in public schools in part on NYC.

@urdynamix1 Ive been playing live instruments my whole life. Im better on a guitar and a drumset then i am on a drum machine. Is sampling getting old for me? never. and it never will. Theres an art behind it that you will never understand unless you fully engage yourself in it. Sampling isnt searching youtube videos of the beatles and recording them into your mpc. Sampling is digging through artifacts of musicians and bringing new life to the otherwise forgotten about.
