Yes. That is a fantastic book, one of the best I've read about him. Also one of the few books that literally brought me to tears.

Kurt vs Joe? whats that all about, if it comes down to music yeah i prefer the clash to nirvana, but to compare two genius' like that is a disgrace, Joe would never want that nor Kurt. x

the person being interviewed later wrote a really great biography on joe strummer. if you have the opporotunity to read it, it is highy reccomended. it is called "Redemption Song: The Ballad Of Joe Strummer"

There is no comparison with Cobain, Strummer was so political. He brought so many important issues to the table. Very bright. I became aware of many issues in the 80's because of him.

@adamcarp Kurt could pick notes. Strummer only strummed. Guitar wise, Kurt was better. Punk wise, Strummer all the way.

@StreetFight23 I disagree. Kurt and Joe were both fighters of freedom, both were punk, both had a message. Just becuase he was older doesn't mean he wasn't Superior to Kurt. But I do think he was superior to kurt.
