  • My son does this too. He is six and sometimes he does it more than other

times.. was told by a developmental opthamologist (sp?) that he may be seeing perfect in both eyes but they may not work together - giving him double vision at times or "shadowbox" type vision. He said that these children are very very smart to know how to compensate for this. This may be why my son has a harder time with corners, catching balls -even once, and other balance issues. • my 24 month old son does this too

  • wow...my son does the same thing..he is 5. loves the edges of anything.

  • the visual stimming is exactly what my 20 month old son does. i call it "border patrol" he goes to the developmental ped in 2 months. BTW your son is so cute!

  • My grandson cuts his eyes like that. Makes you

    wonder why they do it.

  • It's not too uncommon for autistic kids to look out of the corners of their eyes. He's adorable by the way.

  • Thankyou for posting this.. my son is 22 months old, undiagnosed, non verbal (speech delay) but is very noisy somehow.. lots of hmmms and noises especially when he's excited! Your son reminds me alot of my own..
