Power flows through intention.

What do you intend?

Here's how we give our power away:

1.blaming
2.avoidance (of responsibility, intimacy, ourselves)
3.prove something (bad childhood, bad spouse, better than/less than)
4.self pity (or victim or martyr)
5.attempt to control
6.manipulation
7.want to punish ourselves or others

And there are other ways as well. These are examples.

Now, some examples of empowering intentions:

1.make spirituality the highest priority
2.learn about love
3.express my caring (like being in a 'state of forgiveness' - even when you've done nothing wrong! http://www.forgive-yourself.com
4.develop and use character; doing the right thing because it IS the right thing

Also...

To create an alliance with the health care system it starts with taking back your power. Here's how to start. And to help with antidepressant withdrawal, here's what I recommend: http://www.join-the-fun.com/immunocal.html

  • wow, I really relate with all of the negative ways of giving power away... not sure I want to give my meds up...I've seen myself without them!...but it makes sense to look at my agenda when I find myself in the negative behaviors that cause giving up control... very informational video Mark!

  • thanks.

Please understand I would not tell anyone to give up their meds. What I do say, is that they seem to be WAY over-prescribed.

But I do believe some people do indeed benefit from them.

Whether that should last a whole lifetime or not... I don't know....

  • power huh....there must be another word for this....excellent vid by the way...thanks

  • I believe that people may need these meds; only when they are properly and neurologically assessed/ diagnosed. I don't like how these drugs are over prescribed based on symtoms people may have. You shouldn't diagnose someone from their symptoms because maybe it isn't neurological maybe it's something else that they can fix without a dangerous bandaid. I know this because I have been on the up until 2 days ago when I quit, prior to that I have been on them for 5 years.
