I'm building a LM3915 based spectrum analyzer using a Fliege bandpass filter using a LM358 (dual opamp). This video shows a basic level meter built using a LM3915 with a LM3900N (quad opamp) for a preamp (all I have at the moment).

The parts (the LM3915's, and various capacitors and LM358's) are in an order waiting for digikey to get the LM3915's in stock again, so once I get the parts I'll post a video with a breadboarded 7 band spectrum analyzer.

Also for anyone interested, the song playing is the 1994 remix of December by The Four Seasons. ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=OKt2XrVx-zY ). I apologize for the low audio level, this was taken from a Canon S5 IS and the built in microphone was facing away from the speakers.

More info and updates as they come at my blog, http://www.aonomus.wordpress.com/

  • 10 of 10! great thing !!! but how you connect the lcd screen? and where did you get one? :)

  • The image in the top left hand corner is actually a video clip from my oscilloscope, while the led bar display on the right is one channel with a bandpass filter only.
