@predoje don't understand your english...can you explain????????

Im listening to this and looking in Cortot edition of Chopin etudes: he doesn respect his of edition of this etude. He doesnt respect his own creschendos and dimiduendos. And he wrote full pedal on evry second half of meter, i dont hear that here? He wrote whole 4 pages of how to play this etude and again he didnt explain nothing.

@pelotillo This, and op. 10 no. 4 are the only two Études Chopin marked "Presto." Considering how fast the other ones are at simply "Allegro" or "Allegro vivace," this tempo is very appropriate.
-
@pelotillo well, it's supposed to be presto actually...

technically amazing, speed... I don't think anyone could reach the right interpretation at this speed
Well, this certainly puts everyone ELSE's interpretation of Opus 25 #2 in the shade. When he was at his best --- as he certainly was here -- Cortot was matchless.
This is frankly ASTOUNDING.
Too bad about his performance of the Fantasy in F-Minor and the Schumann Concerto (recorded late in his career)!
The Fanrtasy, especially, gives the wrong impression of Cortot. He was certainly NOT "The Schnabel of Chopin", as I once thought.
Just great.

Freaky! Wonderful! His exercises to go along with the etudes are killers, but worth it!
