  • ADMS is software developed by R T Systems for Yaesu radios. It looks like a spreadsheet and you basically just type in the freq, and the rest is drop-down info that you select. It is super easy to put freqs in the radios. Plus, the newer version radios and software are cross-compatible, so my freqs and setting for my FT-60 could easily go into an FT-857.

  • @steveinkentucky Thank you for the information Steve 73 G4MOF..

  • I am glad somebody did a general video on using the 857 with HRD. On the frequency entry & tones, can you download that to the radio, or do you need software such as ADMS?

  • @steveinkentucky I'm not sure what ADMS is to be honest this video is near over a year old now I have a new version I can make a new video if you want when I made this It was sort of new to me I was just using the data lead since then I have learnt a lot more I use it mostley for Satellite tracking the ISS and packet radio it's a great system if you need any help send me a comment 73 Mel..
