  • uhm, favorite interpretation of this song ever

  • NICE! :D

  • Watching these videos bring back so many memories...so many wonderful musical experiences! While we all no doubt have our opinions on how a piece should be interpreted, Paul Smith was a master at communicating life's joys and struggles thru the music. I have never felt such emotional depth from a conductor than Paul, and he certainly had a reason for every nuance, every tempo.

No two performances were the same with him because I think he believed in the organic interpretation along with a c

  • This was the best year of Northridge Singers. Paul is awesome!

  • I don't like the amount of vibrado they use.

  • Go Northridge Singers!!! What an amazing time this was. One of the highlights of my life. I hope everyone who traveled here with me is doing well.

  • I'll be honest, I think the performance you described was one of our weakest year, We spent a lot of time on the Magnificat and not much on the other 10 or so songs. But all the soloists were great. This semesters concert will be much better.

  • I don't really like this. It's too fast for my liking and it's not blended extremely well.

  • I just saw this years performance of "Magnificant" by J.S Bach. I sat in the first row and almost lost my chair on a number of occasions. The sound was weighted perfectly, also the men rocked it! And the Alto Solo's of Danielle Braus and Emily Works were presented with vocal insight and crystal clear understanding of the phrase. Thank you again (also Jan Sanborn's solo work invoked the energy of Art Tatum or Theolonous Monk) alright Im done!
