Screen Yorkshire in association with the National Media Museum and BAFTA held a very special preview screening of ITV's stunning new adaptation of 'Wuthering Heights' at the National Media Museum in Bradford on 25th August. BAFTA award-winning screenwriter Peter Bowker alongside Mammoth Screen's Jon Williams and Michele Buck discuss their journey to the screen with Bill Lawrence (Creative Director at the Showroom and Screen Yorkshire board member) - from carving up the pages of the novel to the logistics of finance and their production and their determination to ensure it was based in its homeland, Yorkshire.
Wuthering Heights filmed at a number of locations across West Yorkshire and The Yorkshire Dales in 2008. Tom Hardy (Bronson, Stuart: A Life Backwards, The Take) stars as Heathcliff alongside Charlotte Riley (The Take, George Gently, Spanish Flu - The Forgotten Fallen) who plays Cathy. The stunning adaptation of Emily Brontes world famous literary classic is the latest in a succession of recent high profile drama and film productions to shoot in Yorkshire. Wuthering Heights is a Mammoth Screen production for ITV, supported by Screen Yorkshires Production Fund.
